I think that somehow God wired us deeply to think in stories, and to automatically try and assemble random facts into stories. The best communicators, for good and evil, are always the best storytellers. That is the reason the scriptures are still relevant to us; they are not a rational construction of logic and law; they are still living examples of faith.

That is an excellent book indeed. God shows himself to be a storyteller. Our human history is his story, and we all get to play our part in it.
